Chatham Senior Center Mission
Established in 1974, the Chatham Council on Aging (COA) is your local community resource for older persons and their caregivers. The COA identifies the needs of Seniors in the community and works toward developing, coordinating and promoting programs and services to meet these needs. Our mission is to enhance the dignity, support the independence and promote the general health and well being of Chatham's older adults.
How can I support the COA?
Become a volunteer! Attend programs! Speak to the staff if you have a program idea! Join the FRIENDS of the COA!
What is the FRIENDS?
The FRIENDS of the COA is a private non-profit corporation which raises funds to support the efforts and programs of the COA. The FRIENDS pays for our newsletter postage, provides emergency food or fuel for low income elders and financially supports many COA programs. Although every senior citizen (60 years or older) in Chatham is automatically a member of the COA, you must pay a minimal annual membership fee to join the FRIENDS and support the COA.
How do I participate?
For more information on any of our services or programs, please call the Information Center at the Chatham Senior Center @ 1-508-945-5190. We will be happy to answer your questions, give you a tour of our facilities or sign you up for any of our services and programs. Remember, we are here for you!
